A Taiwanese native, Dr. Ian Chang obtained his B.S. in Meteorology and M.S. in Geography from Northern Illinois University. He attained his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama in Huntsville focusing on satellite remote sensing of aerosols and clouds. He is currently a post-doctoral scholar at the (CL)2EAR group. He specializes in above-cloud aerosol retrievals from various satellite sensors and conducts various inter-comparison projects among airborne, satellite, and model data.
